Mandatory Tournament Coaches Meeting

• Date:  Wednesday October 11th 2023
• Time:  6:30 pm (doors open at 6:15)
• Place: Elder High School Schaeper Center
  

• District reps need to attend regardless of whether you have teams and help with the meeting.

• The league meeting will be immediately following this meeting.
  

• 3rd coaches have to be compliant with Safesport, background check, and concussion –this will be checked at meeting.

• One coach from each team entering the tournament must be present AND have a completed roster (including jersey numbers, names, addresses, phone numbers, as well as the head coach's signature and your District Coordinators signature) with them.  NO EXCEPTIONS

• Open to all WCSA Passers, Wings, Strikers, or Kickers teams that finish below the top four in their division or finish 3rd of 4th and lose in the first round of the WCSA Tournament.

• Tournament will follow WCSA league rules for pool games and tournament rules resolving ties. Game times may be shortened with slightly reduced quarter durations to ensure all games can fit within time and field scheduling constraints.

• Medals will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place finishers in each boys and girls division.

• Tournament size will be limited by referee and field capacity and filled on a first come first served basis.

• Tournament will be played on Oct. 29/30 and Nov. 5/6 at Our Lady of Victory and Delhi Park fields.

• It is a round robin style tournament with each team guaranteed 3 games and max 5.

• Tournament fees are set based on division.

  • • Passers (Birth Years 2015-2014) (7v7): $125.00

    • Wings (Birth Years 2013-2012) (7v7): $150.00

    • Strikers (Birth Years 2011-2010) (9v9): $160.00

    • Kickers ((Birth Years 2009-2008) 11v11): $175.00

• Tournament registration will be due Wednesday Oct. 19th to allow for scheduling.

• Participants in the WCSA tourney who lose in the first round must sign up by Monday, Oct. 24th. It will be at the tournament directors' discretion to admit these teams into tournament, based on whether a division has capacity.

• Schedules will be released on Oct. 26th.

• Teams must play with the same roster from the regular season. Roster must be submitted electronically via email or by hard copy prior to the first game of the tournament at check-in.

• Payment is due by check prior to the first game. Let us know if your program will pay with one check. Checks should be written to OLV Athletics Association.

The Ohio Area State Tournament (TOAST)                                                                                                                  

A. It is our desire to send the top 2 teams on each level to the state tournament. Any teams outside of the WCSA Champions are not guaranteed and are subject to bracket space availability. All post season teams will be informed of the state numbers PRIOR to the WCSA post season tournament.
