Coaches

We are very thankful for all of those who volunteer to be coaches for youth soccer.  We know that coaches spend countless hours, on and off the field, preparing for games, practices, etc.  This page has all of the resources a coach should need, from how to become a coach to drills, concussion information and more.

How to Become a Coach

  1. To become a coach, you will need to contact your district's (school or community organization) soccer coordinator.  Each organization has a process in which they approve coaches.  Contact information for all coordinators can be found at the Member District's page.
  2. Once approved by the district, you will need to complete the SAY Background Screening and BEFORE you may begin to coach.
  3. All coaches MUST also complete the online concussion training offered by "Heads-Up" Concussion Training or by NFHS Learning and print off the certification of completion and give that to your coordinator BEFORE you may begin to coach.  Every coach must take this online course every 3 years.
  4. The individual district may have other procedures you will need to complete as well, so work closely with the coordinator.
